50 Cent Says He Wanted A-Team Role, Album Got In The Way

New York rapper 50 Cent says he was set to head to the big screen as B.A. Baracus on the upcoming A-Team movie but couldn't commit due to the release of his forthcoming album.

The role, which ultimately landed in the hands of UFC fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, was being sought after by a couple of big names in the music industry including, Game, Ice Cube, and Common.

In a recent interview with Total Film Magazine, Fif said he tried out for the role but things got "jammed up" with the release of Before I Self Destruct.

"I went for the B.A. Baracus role in The A-Team a few weeks ago but they'd already started shooting, so it would have kinda jammed things up at my end, because I've got my new album coming out."

Fif was set to star alongside Bradley Cooper as Faceman Peck and Liam Neeson as A-Team leader Hannibal Smith.

The movie is due for release next year.
