I am a bit surprised and disappointed in this song from HOV. Seems that when Jay-Z signed tru-life in the midst of the new new york mixtape movement we were going to see a fresh face come on the scene and bring some love to a new core of NYC MC's.

Tru-life has been grinding for years and hasn't had it easy bouncing from Loud to Interscope to dreamworks and finally to the ROC [lafamilia]. He is yet to get an album released and it looked good for him for a quick second with completed tracks starring Nas, Snoop, HOV, and other popular players.

No LP release following three very strong mixtapes and going to bat for HOV in taking it to his dipset critics. The release of this song seems to springboard off of what tru-life was trying to say and do. Don't get me wrong I love the song, but I feel it would have been a stronger move to put out a new face who really had some strength from the grimey NYC streets.
